Orama Group Strengthens Its Commitment to Sustainability
Orama, a leading group in wireless safety solutions, reaffirms its commitment to sustainability through an integrated strategy that combines technological innovation, environmental responsibility, and social values.
The Group’s initiatives aim to concretely reduce the environmental impact of its operations and promote responsible business practices in line with the most rigorous international standards.
«In recent years, we’ve taken concrete steps to embed sustainability into our operations, guided by a clear and actionable improvement plan. We’re proud to share that two of our companies are now certified by EcoVadis, a globally recognised sustainability rating platform. Internally, we use a robust ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) framework to assess progress and identify areas for growth.
All initiatives at Orama are aligned with Halma’s Key Strategic Objectives (KSOs), emphasizing structure, reliability and long-term value. Our shared purpose and values ensure a unified approach to sustainability excellence across the entire group», said Giorgio Koursaris, Managing Director, Orama Group.
EcoVadis Certification: A Significant Milestone
The Group, which includes Argus, Hyfire, and Ramtech, has recently achieved significant recognition in the field of sustainability. Argus and Ramtech obtained EcoVadis certifications, an international platform for corporate sustainability assessment, receiving Bronze and Silver Medals, respectively.
These certifications represent an important milestone, acknowledging the quality of the company’s policies regarding the environment, labor rights, ethics, and sustainable sourcing. This achievement confirms Orama’s constant attention to continuous improvement and corporate social responsibility.
Concrete Actions for a Sustainable Future
Key actions recently undertaken by the Group include the installation of photovoltaic systems for renewable energy production at selected sites – such as Argus and Ramtech – the progressive conversion of thermal systems from natural gas to electric, exclusive use of 100% renewable energy and the strengthening of health, safety, and inclusion policies in the workplace. Orama also applies a rigorous ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) framework to constantly monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and define new sustainable opportunities.
